Representative Barbara Lee talked about the Democratic Party agenda for the 112th Congress, and she responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Topics included the Constitution and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Representative Lee was the only member of Congress to vote against the authorization for use of military force against terrorists in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, arguing that Congress did not debate the issue.

A portion of remarks House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi made the previous day to the Congressional Black Caucus were shown.

C-SPAN Radio’s Bobbi Jackson read news headlines at the end of the program. close
