The Commission on Wartime Contracting held a hearing to examine the spending of U.S. tax dollars an Afghanistan, as well as the quality of contract supervision. Military commanders and senior civilian officials in charge of some of the Afghanistan reconstruction efforts testified about cost overruns and other contracting issues. The Commission was examining contracting issues in both Iraq and Afghanistan and will issue a final report to Congress in July. close
