The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission released its final report on the causes of the 2008 financial crisis. According to the conclusions in the report, the crisis occurred because government officials and Wall Street executives ignored warning signs and failed to manage risks. Republicans on the commission declined to endorse the final report, filing their own analysis of the crisis which did not conclude that teh crisis was “avoidable.” close
