Oregon which upheld the constitutionality of a 1903 law forbidding the employment of women in industrial jobs for more than 10 hours a day. She discussed its origins and its legacy, focusing on changing views of women’s rights and needs in the eyes of the Court, legislatures, and the public. She responded to questions from members of the audience.
