Witnesses testified on the impact of the commercial real estate market on the stability of banks. In his testimony, Patrick Parkinson said that banks have only taken 40 to 50 percent of the losses from commercial real estate they could eventually incur, but he added that problems in the sector are mostly a threat to smaller banks and do not appear to pose a risk to the entire financial system. close
