Civil War Sesquicentennial Congressional Briefing A group representing a coalition of 14 national organizations held a congressional briefing on legislation to establish a National Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission to coordinate events that would be held over the next four years to celebrate the one-hundred-fiftieth anniversary of the American Civil War. They responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
