Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano warned that the terrorist threat was at its highest level since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S. She also talked about the recruitment of westerners by terrorist groups. National Counterterrorism Director Michael Leiter also appeared at the hearing focusing on homeland security threats from abroad and at home. close
