National Oil Spill Commissioner Terry Garcia urged Congress to restore the Gulf of Mexico’s ecosystem. He appeared with Commissioner Donald Boesch and former Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Response Commander Admiral Thad Allen before a joint hearing on the future of offshore drilling.

The National Oil Spill Commission released its final report the previous month which called for sweeping changes in the oil and gas industry operations and the role of government regulators. close
