Following a meeting about Egypt with the vice chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and members of Congress, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said she spoke about the need to avoid further violence with her counterpart in Bahrain, the site of recent anti-government protests. She also said she warned members against proposed cuts to the State Department in House Republicans' continuing resolution. close
