Stephen Strom and Doug Isbell talked about their book Observatories of the Southwest: A Guide for Curious Skywatchers (University of Arizona Press, 2009). They showed slides as they talked about astronomy and recent scientific discoveries, such as the the search for extrasolar planets and upcoming missions to Mars. Mr. Strom also showed images from his book of photographic landscape interpretations, Earth Forms. The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience and Professor Smith, the moderator.
