Inherently Unequal Lawrence Goldstone recounts the Supreme Court renouncement of the Civil Rights Act in 1883. The Court, by an 8-1 vote, deemed the Act unconstitutional and by doing so muted the protections of the Fourteenth Amendment. Mr. Goldstone examines the Court’s proceedings and the Jim Crow era that followed. Lawrence Goldstone discussed his book at The Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale, Arizona. He responded to questions from members of the audience. close
