James Carroll talked about his book Jerusalem, Jerusalem: How the Ancient City Ignited Our Modern World (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2011). He talked about the history of the ancient city and the religious fervor and conflicts it has inspired. He was joined then joined by leaders of other religions in a panel discussion, moderated by Ms. Miller, that focused on how the city’s different faiths can create peace in a sacred site often marred by religious violence. close
