Mark Toner briefed reporters and answered questions. In his remarks he said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had spoken with President Obama twice in recent days about military strikes in Libya. He also talked about a recent decision to offer potassium iodide tablets to State Department staff in Japan, tablets that could inhibit the absorption of nuclear radiation. close
