Thoughts Without Cigarettes: A Memoir Oscar Hijuelos talked about his book, Thoughts Without Cigarettes: A Memoir, in conversation with Carolyn Curiel. Oscar Hijuelos is the author of eight novels and was the first Latino to win the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, for The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love. He also has received the Rome Prize and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. Mr. Hijuelos responded to questions from members of the audience.
