Among the topics they addressed were regional security challenges, the transition to Afghan control, the potential impact of Osama bin Laden’s death, and negotiating with the Taliban. Bing West, who had traveled with U.S. troops in Afghanistan, said U.S. aid had created “a culture of entitlement” in that country. close
