On July 16, 1945 the United States conducted the first test of an atomic bomb, code named Trinity, in New Mexico. The film Atomic Weapons Tests: Trinity through Buster-Jangle documents the tests of atomic weapons between 1945 and 1951. This film was produced in 1952 by the United States Air Force’s Lookout Mountain Laboratory Air Photographic and Charting Service for the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project.
