William Miller talked about ongoing debt and deficit talks between congressional leaders and President Obama from the viewpoint of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Among his statements, Mr. Miller said that the debt ceiling must be raised, and that “the full faith and credit of the United States” should never be jeopardized. He also discussed potentials cuts to entitlement programs and tax increases.
