Gregory Jaczko of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) talked about U.S. nuclear power safety. The NRC appointed a special task force to review nuclear safety in the wake of the Japanese nuclear disaster that was caused by an earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. Mr. Jaczko in his comments officially called on his agency to complete consideration of new safety recommendations within 90 days. He also responded to questions from the audience. close
