Current and former members of the House Financial Services Committee attended a dinner in honor of the committee hosted by the U.S. Capitol Historical Society. The keynote speaker of the evening was former Committee Chairman Michael Oxley, a Republican from Ohio. During his remarks, Mr. Oxley said the American people had stopped trusting the financial markets because of the 2002 and 2008 financial crises. close
