Witnesses testified about a report from the Bipartisan Policy Center report about preventing radicalization and violent extremism in the U.S. They focused on building strategies for counterterrorism and the length of time a successful strategy might take. The report said that Congress and the American public had an important role to play in ensuring the nation’s commitment to challenging and countering radicalization, and that making America safe from terrorism was a “generational challenge.” close
