At the AFL-CIO’s annual Labor Day event, Richard Trumka outlined a plan for increasing employment and he labor group’s plans to influence the political process. In his remarks he said that the U.S. has a short-term jobs crisis rather than a short-term debt crisis. Following Mr. Trumka, a panel of AFL-CIO officers and union members discussed jobs, the economy, and voter identification legislation. close
