John Ferling talked about his book Independence: The Struggle to Set America Free, in which he presents a history of the American declaration of independence from Britain in July 1776. The author recounted the maturation of the decision as well as the American and British response, which included a selection of sympathizers in the British Parliament and many nervous colonists who were interested in a peaceful resolution of differences with Britain.
