Governor Daniels was elected in 2004, re-elected in 2008, and was director of the Office of Management and Budget in the George W. Bush administration. He received a B.S. degree from Princeton University and a law degree from Georgetown University in 1979. He served as chief of staff for Senator Dick Lugar (R-IN) from 1977 to 1982.
