Following the presentations by the panelist there was discussion among the panelists followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
At the beginning of the program colors were presented by Company B, 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry color guard.
“National Park Service Public Forum” was a plenary session of the 96th Annual ASALH Convention, “Grace, Glory, and Significance: The Legacy of African Americans and the Civil War.” Held in the Richmond Marriot, the session was sponsored by the National Parks Conservation Association and the National Park Service.
