A film that describes the difficulties of fighting in Vietnam begins with a scene from December 1964 in which President Lyndon Johnson awarded Captain Roger Donlon the Medal of Honor for his heroism in Vietnam. Topics included the lives of the soldiers and relations with the Vietnamese people. Some scenes were re-enacted.
