Kenneth Feinberg testified on the implementation of the BP Oil Spill Compensation Fund. The $20 billion fund was created by BP in partnership with the White House to provide payment or settlement of claims for costs and damages incurred as a result of the Deepwater Horizon spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Among the topics addressed in the hearing were fraudulent claims and new rules dealing specifically with Louisiana shrimpers.

Mr. Feinberg spoke to reporters after the hearing recessed. close
