Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave the keynote speech at the National Democratic Institute’s 2011 Democracy Awards Dinner. The 2011 honorees were the late Geraldine Ferraro, Ambassador Richard sHolbrooke and Charles Manatt. Secretary Clinton called all the recipients trailblazers of change in the U.S and around the world. She also talked about the transition underway in the Middle East following unrest in Egypt, Yemen, Libya, and other countries earlier in 2011.She said the U.S. will continue to play a supportive role in the process. close
