The 150th anniversary of the November 20, 1861 “Grand Review” by President Lincoln of some 70,000 Union soldiers at Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia, was commemorated with a re-enactment on November 12, 2011, at the Fort McNair Parade Field in Washington, D.C. The event included modern military units and Civil War re-enactors and remrks by Major General Linnington, Colonel Coffman, Rhode Island Chief Justice Emeritus Williams, and James Getty portraying President Lincoln. close
