Former Governor Jennifer Granholm (D-MI) recounted her two terms in office from 2003 to January 1, 2011. The first female governor of Michigan, Ms. Granholm recalled her administration’s challenges in the eighth largest state in the nation, as she faced an economic recession coupled with a depleted manufacturing sector and multiple infrastructure issues. Jennifer Granholm spoke with her co-author and husband, Dan Mulhern, and they responded to questions from members of the audience. This event at the Mechanics' Institute was co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of San Francisco. close
