A Soldier's Dream
William Doyle tells the story of Captain Travis Patriquin, who was instrumental in gaining U.S. support for the 2006 “Sunni Awakening” which greatly reduced the influence of al-Qaeda in Iraq. Captain Patriquin was killed by a roadside bomb that same year. After his presentation he was interviewed by Darin Strauss at the Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House of New York University. close
