Earlier in the year the U.S. Postal Service announced that it hoped to close up to 3,700 facilities across the country by 2015 as part of an effort to cut $20 billion. The federal government subsequently placed a moratorium on the closings. Officials from the postal service and Congress held a town hall meeting to get public input on the proposal. close
