Rights Gone Wrong
This was a program of The Revelle Forum at The Neurosciences Institute. Sponsored by the University of California, San Diego, Extension, the Revelle Forum series is presented in collaboration with The Neurosciences Institute.
Richard Thompson Ford argues that civil rights laws have been misappropriated by individuals, special interest groups, and the political left and right for personal gain. The author presents several examples of where he believes the current understanding of the law champions personal entitlements over civil rights and argues that civil rights legislation must be re-imagined. He was interviewed by Jennifer Burton and responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.
