Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke testified on the U.S. economic outlook for the year and future of economic growth. In his remarks he urged senators to resolve differences over payroll tax cuts, and told the committee that the labor market still had a “long way to go” and unemployment levels remained “troubling.” Unemployment dropped in January for the fifth straight month to 8.3%, the lowest in three years. close
