Economic Issues for States
The governors were interviewed by John Harris at Politico’s second annual State Solutions Conference.
Governors Bob McDonnell (R-VA) and Martin O’Malley (D-MD) talked about the economic issues facing their states. Topics included job creation, revenue shortfalls and approaches to budget cuts, tax policy, and the 2012 election. They also discussed social issues, such as same-sex marriage and reproductive health. They took questions from the audience at the end of the program.
