House Republicans and Democrats questioned the Homeland Security department about a leaked memo detailing problems at the agency in charge of chemical facility security. Department of Homeland Security Undersecretary Rand Beers told the House Energy Subcommittee that issues raised in the report were being addressed, and that the risk of an attack on a chemical facility had been reduced over the previous several years. close
