General Douglas Fraser gave update on U.S. efforts in fighting transnational organized crime and drug trafficking in Central and South America. He focused his comments on the challenges of the region and outlined U.S. Southern Command’s plan for dealing with crime and security issues specifically in Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala. He called the transnational organized crime problems in Central America a regional and hemispheric problem with there being no one solution. close
