Bryce Hoffman recounts Ford Motor Company’s business practices under chief executive officer Allan Mulally from 2006 to 2011. The author examines the auto bailout allocated by Congress in 2008 and accepted by Ford’s competitors, General Motors and Chrysler, and Ford’s plans to re-imagine their corporate culture and products. Mr. Hoffman was given access to Allan Mullay’s personal documents and interviewed over one-hundred people involved in the company’s overhaul, from executive chairman Bill Ford, great-grandson of Ford’s founder, Henry Ford, to the automotive company’s employees, union heads, and car dealers. Bryce Hoffman responded to questions from members of the audience at Barnes & Noble in Allen Park, Michigan. close
