Former Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter talked about his political career, during which he changed from the Republican to Democratic Party, and the split between old guard members of his former party and members supported by the tea party movement. He focused on the extreme partisanship which causes incumbents to loose their primary elections because of how they cast one vote in Congress. During this event from the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Senator Specter was in conversation with former Representative Mike Castle (R-DE) and responded to questions from members of the audience. close
