Michael Weiner talked about the future of collective bargaining for baseball players as well as other professions. He asserted that collective bargaining has been used in the recent past as a way to blame unions for the struggling economic climate, and that legislative acts to strip workers of rights will not help the economy. In his remarks he said that collective bargaining “is the only realistic leverage” workers have and that it “allows them a voice.” Following his speech he answered written questions from the audience. close
