President Obama spoke to labor leaders and promoted infrastructure projects, criticizing Republicans for being more interested in tax cuts for the wealthy than creating jobs for construction projects. He also outlined his administration’s efforts to speed up loans and grants for projects and reverse bans on project labor agreements. The reversals would allow federal agencies to require that contractors on large-scale public construction projects agree to union representation for workers. close
