Meredith McGehee talked about bipartisan campaign finance reform efforts in the Senate, and she responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. She discussed legislation that would any group that spends $10,000 or more on election ads or other political activity to file a disclosure report with the Federal Election Commission within 24 hours. Other topics included the impact of campaign finance on the 2012 elections and the Supreme Court case, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, that allowed corporations and individuals to make unlimited campaign contributions anonymously. close
