Panelists talked about women engaged in peacemaking efforts. Leymah Gbowee spoke about child soldiers in Liberia, her struggles for peace, and her own story of efforts to topple Charles Taylor which led to the first female president of Liberia. She won the 2011 Nobel Peace prize. Panel also discussed the global role of women and talked about past and present prominent women as political leaders. They responded to questions from the audience. close
