Tony Perkins talked about social freedom issues and the 2012 election. He said “value” voters would play a significant role in the elections and that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan would appeal to them because of their stance against same-sex marriage. He also commented on the attack on the Washington headquarters of the Family Research Council in which a staff member was wounded the previous month. Mr. Perkins responded to questions submitted by members of the audience. He called the attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya that killed the American ambassador and three other staffers overnight an act of aggression against every American and that the president should not apologize for America. close
