Status and Prospects for the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty

The United States has observed a moratorium on nuclear testing for the past twenty years, but has not yet ratified the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty. Undersecretary Rose Gottemoeller will discuss prospects for CTBT ratification, the status of the Stockpile Stewardship Management Program, efforts to ensure the safety and security of the U.S. nuclear arsenal, and other nuclear policy issues.
