Secretary Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Martin Dempsey briefed the media. Secretary Panetta said that he suspected more insider attacks would happen in Afghanistan, but stressed that the U.S. along with Afghanistan and coalition partners were taking necessary measures to prevent them. Secretary Panetta and Chair Dempsey also discussed a wide range of issues, including: the transition progress in Afghaistan, the attack at the U.S. consulate in Libya, sequestration, and violence in Syria. close
