We Have the War Upon Us
Author William Cooper, former president of the Southern Historical Association, talked about his book, We Have the War Upon Us: The Onset of the Civil War, November 1860-April 1861, in which he presents a history of the lead up to the U.S. Civil War. He examined the divided populace in the North and South and the various attempts at compromise that failed. He spoke at the Atlanta History Center and responded to questions from the audience. close
