Veterans of World War II talked about their experiences at the Battle of Midway. They stressed the importance of the American victory and how it signified a turning point in the war with Japan. The American Veterans Center hosted this panel at their 15th Annual Conference.

Sgt. Ed Fox was a machine gunner on Midway with the 6th Defense Battalion, Fleet Marine Force. Captain John Crawford served as an ensign aboard the USS Yorktown. CPO Chief Hank Kudzik served aboard the USS Nautilus, a submarine that played a pivotal role in the Battle of Midway. close
