British Foreign Secretary William Hague reported to the House of Commons on the situation in the Middle East. He said the United Kingdom had given formal recognition to the Syrian opposition after recent meetings in which opposition leaders promised to be inclusive of Syria’s various minority groups. Addressing the violence in the Israel, Secretary Hague had no new information regarding a possible cease fire, and he said Hamas bored primary responsibility for the conflict. close
