Representative Allison Schwartz (D-PA) talked about the possibility of President Obama and Congress reaching an agreement to avoid the “fiscal cliff.” She was optimistic about the chances for a compromise but agreed with President Obama that raising the tax rate for the wealthiest Americans was essential.*She also acknowledged the necessity of budget cuts.*
