Conservative leaders spoke to reporters about the “Plan B” proposal to avoid “fiscal cliff” impending tax increases and budget cuts at the end of 2012 that Speaker Boehner (R-OH) proposed the previous day. The bill, which the House Rules Committee would take up that evening, would raise income taxes on those making $1 million a year or more, and addressed the estate tax, investment income, and the alternative minimum tax. Representative Todd Huelskamp (R-KS) said that he would deserve a primary challenge if he voted for the bill. close
